Michael Cristofer was awarded a Pultizer Prize and a Tony Award for THE SHADOW BOX, and the 1996 New Play Award from the American Theatre Critics Association for AMAZING GRACE. Other plays include BREAKING UP (Primary Stages); ICE (Manhattan Theatre Club); BLACK ANGEL (Circle Repertory Company); and THE LADY AND THE CLARINET (Mark Taper Forum, Long Wharf Theatre, Off-Broadway, and the London Fringe). His film credits include the film version of “The Shadow Box,” directed by Paul Newman; “Falling in Love”; “The Witches of Eastwick”; and “The Bonfire of the Vanities,” directed by Brian DePalma.
