Joseph Goodrich is an Edgar Allan Poe Award-winning playwright (Panic) who has been described by Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine as “one of the most versatile writers in the mystery field.” His plays have been produced across the United States; in Canada, Australia and Shanghai; and published by Samuel French, Applause Books, Padua Hills Press and Playscripts, among others. His adaptations of The Red Box and Might as Well Be Dead – the first officially-sanctioned stage versions of Rex Stout’s Nero Wolfe stories – had their world premieres at Park Square Theater in Saint Paul, MN. Canada’s Vertigo Theatre produced the world premiere of his adaption of Ellery Queen’s Calamity Town, which received the 2016 Calgary Theatre Critics Award for Best New Script.
