George Howe is an award-winning composer/lyricist living and working in Chicago. His musicals include Queen Lucia (2006), Northanger Abbey (2017), Murder, ReWrote (2023) and The House without a Christmas Tree (2024). George has written extensively for TYA audiences with shows including Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Arnie the Doughnut and five titles in the Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type series. George is an adjunct professor at The Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA). He spends his summers in Ogunquit, ME performing at The Front Porch Piano Bar, where he belts out show tunes and rock anthems for throngs of tourists, local fishermen and over-served bachelorettes.
