David Copelin’s dark comedy Bella Donna won Best Play at the 2005 Toronto Fringe Festival and has been produced several times since. David’s other produced plays include The Angel Capone, A Clean Breast, Coming Up for Air, Mind Over Matter and That Other Thing. Educated at Columbia and Yale, David has taught at several universities. He has also worked as a dramaturg at the Mark Taper Forum, New Dramatists, Arena Stage, and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. A dual citizen of the United States and Canada, David is a longtime Guild member who has served the Guild in several capacities, most notably as our delegate to Canada’s Public Lending Right Commission, of which he was Chair from 2009 to 2011. David currently lives in Warwick, New York.
