DARWIN IN MALIBU premiered in 2003 at Birmingham Repertory Theatre where it was shortlisted for the “TMA Award for Best New Play.” It was subsequently produced at Hampstead Theatre in London. It premiered in the USA in the spring/summer of 2006 in a co-production between the Falcon Theatre in Burbank, California, and the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, New York. Other plays include CLEVER DICK (Hampstead Theatre) and HAPPY VALLEY (Liverpool Playhouse), both of which he also directed. He also translated Rafael Spregelburd’s award-winning play STUPIDITY for the National Theatre.
