Bruce Norris (playwright) is the author of Clybourne Park, which received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama (2011) as well as the Olivier, Evening Standard, and Tony Awards. Other plays include Downstate (Steppenwolf, National Theatre, Playwrights Horizons) an adaptation of Brecht’s Arturo Ui for the Donmar Warehouse (London), The Low Road (Royal Court, Public Theatre), The Qualms, Domesticated (LCT) A Parallelogram(Taper, Second Stage) The Unmentionables, The Pain and the Itch, and Purple Heart, most of which premiered at Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago, where he is an ensemble member. He lives in New York.
