Freelance Livestreaming Technician
$65.00 – $65.00 per hour
OVERVIEW
Stephen Wise Free Synagogue, a Reform synagogue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, is seeking a reliable and experienced livestreaming technician to support our regular worship and community events. This role will serve as a backup for our full-time audio/visual technician. Experience at synagogue or Jewish institutions is a plus.
This is a part-time freelance position, reporting directly to the A/V technician and working closely with senior staff members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Operate TriCaster system to livestream services and events to our website, Facebook, and YouTube
· Record religious services and synagogue programs using PTZ cameras
· Collaborate with clergy and staff to ensure seamless broadcasts
· Provide technology support and solutions as requested
· Video editing experience is a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience operating TriCaster equipment and PTZ cameras
· Knowledge of livestream platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo)
· Adobe Creative Suite experience a plus
· A keen grasp of A/V systems and technology and eagerness to learn new skills
· Strong sense of timing and attention to detail
· Excellent communication and organizational abilities
· Ability to work calmly under pressure and troubleshoot A/V issues on the fly
SCHEDULE
· You'll be expected to come in at least once a month on a Friday or Saturday at your choosing
· Be available for some Thursday evenings, occasional Sundays, and the High Holy Days
SALARY
This is a freelance position. Hourly rate is $65/hour. Time spent training on our system will be compensated at $30/hour.
