Breakdown

SONG OF THE SEA

SYNOPSIS: Adapted to the stage by Hansol Jung with original music by Bruno Coulais and Kila, with Seimi Campbell at the helm as director, the project will be a live retelling of an animated film of the same title. SONG OF THE SEA is Cartoon Saloon’s three-time Oscar nominated trilogy - falling between The Secret of Kells (2009) and Wolfwalkers (2020). A richly animated tale of Celtic magic and folklore, it tells the story of Ben and his little sister Saoirse – the last Seal child – who embark on a fantastic journey across a fading world of ancient legend in an attempt to return to their home by the sea.

NOTE FROM TEAM, though this story takes place in Ireland, it is our intent to create a piece that is truly reflective of the world around us. We welcome actors of all ethnicities to attend this call. All actors should have a great sense of imagination and play.
