Engagement 1 September 2026 – 17 April 2027
North Country Center for the Arts at Jean's Playhouse is seeking performers for TIGER, the Emmy Award-winning professional Theatre for Young Audiences program that recently joined the NCCA family in Lincoln, New Hampshire.

We are seeking two male-identifying and one female-identifying professional musical theatre performers for the 2026–2027 New England Touring Season, with additional performance opportunities at Jean's Playhouse throughout the contract.

Contract Details

Rehearsals Begin: September 1, 2026
Tour: September 30, 2026 – Mid-April 2027
Compensation: $400 / week, plus housing

TIGER performers learn and perform two original musical productions & one play written specifically to address important social issues facing today's children. Each production tours schools and venues throughout New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and potentially other New England states. The tour always returns to its home base in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, so there are rarely overnight hotel stays. Once both productions are open, the company typically performs up to four days per week.

In addition to the TIGER tour, performers also participate in GHOST LIGHT, Jean's Playhouse's weekend-only immersive haunted attraction in October; serve as lobby carolers and understudies for A CHRISTMAS CAROL in December; and will be considered for casting in a potential March mainstage production.

Candidates should have experience or a strong interest in children's theatre and/or educational theatre, with strong acting, singing, and movement skills. Applicants should enjoy performing for young audiences, possess excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrate a positive and collaborative attitude, and thrive in a fast-paced touring environment.

Join the NCCA family and instantly build a diverse résumé under a single contract, performing in two original Theatre for Young Audiences productions, our immersive haunted attraction GHOST LIGHT, A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and potentially an additional spring mainstage production. It's a unique opportunity to gain experience across multiple performance styles while working with one professional company.

TIGER is directed by Program Director Trish Lindberg. GHOST LIGHT and A CHRISTMAS CAROL are directed by Executive Artistic Director Joel Mercier.

To apply, please submit a statement of interest, résumé, headshot, and performance reel to [email protected]. We will contact candidates we feel are the best fit to schedule a Zoom interview.
