Seeking Singers for AEA compliant industry reading of award wining musical, Safe Hands by Alara Magritte and Daniel Rosen
Rehearsal Dates: 9/13-9/20
Performance Dates: 9/21 @ 2pm & 7pm

LYDIA -- Early twenties. Floyd’s wife. Dry humored, altruistic, a little cynical. Soprano. [Range: F3 - F5]
BUNNIE -- Mid-twenties. Housewife. Roy’s wife. Charismatic, bubbly, funny. Mezzo-soprano. [Range: F#3- C#5]
MARY -- Twenty. Latina. Nursing student. Shy, ambitious, genuine, bold. Mezzo-soprano. [Range: G3 - F5]
DOLLY -- Early fifties. Laundress, widow. Pragmatic, closed-off, wounded, stern. Alto. [Range: F3 - D5]
IDA -- Late forties. Nurse. Warm, practical, seasoned. Mezzo-soprano. [Range: G3 - Db5]

Safe Hands storyline: In 1956 New Jersey, five women are bound by the secret of "Frankie's House"- a covert abortion clinic on the edge of town. Safe Hands is an original musical that takes an honest look at life before Roe v. Wade. Set against a soaring folk-rock score, the award-winning original story explores the hidden lives of women and the communities they forge behind closed doors.
This is the 1st industry reading of the work.
Compensation: $200+ stipend

All casting will be virtual and all submissions will receive an email regarding casting.
