NCCA Jean's Playhouse Seeks New England-Local Actor to be our replacement Tour Guides for GHOST LIGHT

MOSTLY WEEKENDS ONLY!

Lincoln, NH • October 7–31, 2026

The North Country Center for the Arts at Jean's Playhouse is seeking two actors to serve as Tour Guides for GHOST LIGHT, our immersive theatrical haunted attraction, this October.

Tour Guides lead groups of approximately 14–16 guests through the 60-minute attraction and serve as the audience's guide through the story. This is a highly interactive acting role involving some scripted material, lots of improvisation, direct audience interaction, and crowd management.

We're looking for strong, personable actors (male or female) who are comfortable improvising and thinking on their feet. Because every audience is different, guides need to be able to respond naturally to guests while staying in character, delivering the necessary story information, and keeping the tour moving.

Previous improv, interactive theatre, haunted attraction, or tour guide experience is helpful but not required.

Please note: Because this is not a full-time position, applicants should live within the New England region, have reliable transportation, and be willing to commute once each week. Shared housing is provided while you're working in Lincoln.

Important

Everyone working on GHOST LIGHT must be comfortable with:

• Jump scares
• Strobe lights
• Smoke and haze
• Loud sound effects
• Tight spaces and dim lighting
• Walking on inclines and uneven terrain
• Extended periods outdoors in October weather
• Being on their feet and walking for much of the evening
