Stuart Carolan is an Irish playwright and screenwriter who started out as a television and radio producer. Stuart's first play, DEFENDER OF THE FAITH, won the George Devine award when it premiered at the Abbey Theatre in 2004, and Stuart went on to write commissions for the National and the Druid. In 2008 Stuart turned to television writing, winning an IFTA nomination for the script he co-wrote with Barry Murphy for RTE, “Little White Lies.” His other television credits include “Suburbia,” “Raw,” “No Laughing Matter,” and “Alchemy.” He has also written the play EMPRESS OF INDIA, which was performed at the Druid Theatre.
