During the day Laura Toffenetti is an eighth-grade teacher in Storrs, Connecticut. She also is a Connecticut Writing Fellow. At night she plunks herself in front of her laptop and writes plays. Three of her plays for teenagers have been published: TEENAGE NIGHTMARE, CLIQUES AND CAFETERIAS, and THE MYSTERIOUS ART OF ADVERTISING. All three of these were written, rehearsed, and performed by twenty-plus teenagers in eight days! Whew!
