J.R. Mimbs got his start in theater as a teenager by performing, writing, and eventually producing and directing for various puppet and drama ministries in Georgia. He graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University with a B.A. in Theatre Education. Currently, he teaches Theatre Arts at Thomas County Central High School in Thomasville, Georgia, where he lives with his wife.
