David MacGregor is a resident artist at The Purple Rose Theatre in Michigan, where ten of his plays have been produced. His work has been performed across the United States and in over 20 different countries and is published by Heuer Publishing, Concord Theatricals and Theatrical Rights Worldwide (TRW). He adapted his dark comedy Vino Veritas into a film starring Carrie Preston (star of CBS’ Elsbeth and Emmy-winner for The Good Wife). His short play For Old Time’s Sake was adapted into the film Easy Way Out, starring Oscar nominee John Savage. His latest play, Mildred Whiskey, won the Playwrights First Best New Play Award in 2025.
