Danny Tejera is a Brooklyn-based theatre, film and TV artist originally from Madrid. His off-Broadway debut, Toros (Second Stage Theater), was a New York Times Critic’s Pick and named to Theatrely’s “Best of 2023.” It received the HOLA Award for Outstanding Achievement in Playwriting and nods from the Lucille Lortel and Obie Awards. It’s published by Concord Theatricals and had its regional premiere at Rec Room Arts in Houston. Other plays include Tatiana (developed by The New Group and Ensemble Studio Theatre; National Playwrights Conference finalist) and Circles (developed by Colt Coeur, The Motor Company and Circuit Arts; Fault Line Theatre’s Irons in the Fire finalist). Danny has received fellowships from MacDowell, Djerassi Resident Artists Program, The Bergman Estate on Fårö, Millay Arts, Stillwright and Tofte Lake Center.
