Breakdown

FEAST OF RABBITS

SEEKING:

LUNA – Black, Late teens – early 20s. A housekeeper in the Forsythe home who hides her gnarled hands with gloves. Observant, thoughtful, accustomed to taking orders, struggles to find her voice. Not without a spine. Has never owned a pretty dress.

MAVIS FORSYTHE – Black, Elderly but spry. The matriarch. Fancy in manners of speech and adornment. Demanding. Believes she’s being deprived of death by the ghost of a rabbit. Of sound mind.

MACKENZIE FORSYTHE – Black, Late teens – early 20s. A pretty girl with an ugly secret. Spoiled, boisterous, mean but vulnerable. Hides herself in a closet, hides her pregnancy under a veil of delusion.

JOSH FORSYTHE – Black, Approaching adolescence. Perplexed by the rapid changes taking place within and around him. Immature but wise. A sponge.

LEVI FORSYTHE – Black, Late teens – early 20s. An aspiring preacher troubled by his family’s propensity for nastiness. At odds with Asher. Infatuated with Luna. Earnest, pious.

ASHER FORSYTHE – Black, Late teens – early 20s. A devourer who satisfies his appetites with little regard for anyone else. Yearns for a closer relationship with LEVI though he’d never admit it outright.

ALICE / TOWN – Black, A neighbor. Nosey, horny, mean.

PAUL / TOWN – Black, Alice’s husband.

PAIGE / TOWN – Black, A citizen of Town. Dry humor.

FISHERMAN – Black, Citizen of Town. Just tryna fish.
