'Chicago: The Musical,' Street Team Dancers And Ambassadors

theatreMAMA is seeking dancers/actors/singers who are looking for a side gig to be a part of the Chicago Dance Mob. Members of the Chicago Dance Mob are the official brand ambassadors for Broadway's Chicago the Musical - the longest running musical currently on Broadway!
An iconic part of the success of "Chicago The Musical"; ambassadors take over the streets of Times Square in costume (see photos on the website), and hand out fliers and discounts, all the while infusing their movements with Fosse dance technique; applicants should have basic knowledge of Fosse technique; ambassadors will go through a brief training to learn iconic poses and movements.
Ideal candidates are:
- Comfortable utilizing their movement expertise to promote Chicago the Musical
- Be lively, outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic
- Be motivated, responsible, and dedicated
- Be comfortable approaching strangers
- Comfortable being outside in all types of weather for prolonged periods
Ambassadors can expect 1-2 shifts a week, scheduled based on the ambassador's availability. Shifts generally are 3-4 hours in length. It's the perfect way to make some extra cash for those dance classes, voice lessons, or headshots!
