Synopsis

A musical

This Broadway hit is based on the Amphitryon myth.

Jupiter comes to Earth in human form to woo beautiful Alcemene, wife of Amphitryon.

He appears to her in the body of her absent husband and quickly wins her love.

Things go swimmingly until the real Amphitryon shows up.

The chorus consists of Tom, Dick, Horace and the delightfully dizzy Dolores (who is only in the show because she is the wife of its financial backer.)
