The story
Set nineteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry Potter is now a Ministry of Magic official and a father of three. When his youngest son, Albus, strikes up an unlikely friendship with Scorpius Malfoy, old rivalries and new dangers resurface. As past and present collide, the pair are drawn into a time-twisting journey that could change the wizarding world forever, and that asks whether the next generation can step out of the shadows of their parents.
The production
Adapted for the stage by Jack Thorne, from an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, the play is known for its spellbinding stagecraft and stage illusions. The creative team includes set designer Christine Jones, costume designer Katrina Lindsay and composer Imogen Heap, with the production staged by Sonia Friedman Productions and Colin Callender.
