We are seeking an experienced Wardrobe Assistant to join the production on its UK Tour.   Start Date: September 2026 Contract Length: 18 Months Salary: Buyout/Competitive   Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
  • To support the Wardrobe department in the performance of its duties
  • To maintain the artistic and overall standards of the production, ensuring all elements of the show remain at the highest standard and as originally set by the Costume Designer and Supervisor.
  • To clean and launder all costumes in the manner and frequency required to maintain the appearance of the costumes, including coordinating dry cleaning.
  • To take a show dressing plot, undertake costume changes during the performance as required.
  • To carry out running repairs on costumes as required.
  • To follow up on all notes made by the team regarding costumes in their care, checking for accuracy and to maintain the master costume bible.
  • Ensure good housekeeping is maintained in all work and storage areas, and work with other departments to ensure all technical areas are clear and well organised.
  • Any other reasonable duty that would normally fall within the remit of a Wardrobe Assistant, based on industry norms and practice.
  • Assist the departments in during the get-in/get-outs at each venue on tour
    PERSONAL SPECIFICATION:
  • Experience of working on a large scale musical production.
  • An organised yet flexible approach and calm under pressure.
  • Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team and under your own initiative.
  • Ability to be creative and resourceful in problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent sewing skills and working knowledge of theatre costumes.
  • High level of maintaining, repairing and altering costumes.
  • Experience in wardrobe maintenance and dressing actors on productions of a similar scale and type.
  • The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise.
