Job Description

Assist the HOD on the LX load out during the weekly venue moves. Power on, power off, rig check and operate all performances to the highest of standards when required. Report any issues in regards to the lighting rig & video equipment through the show reports and/or through a separate line of written communication. Troubleshoot and rectify any issues as efficiently as possible to make sure the performances run as planned. Work alongside the stage management, company management, sound, venue and technical teams daily. Communicate in detail and collaborate with other departments at all times. Keep all lighting & video paperwork up to date and accurate, and generate any new paperwork as and when changes are made. Take a lead on daily maintenance during show calls with the Head of LX/Video. Take a lead and organise all preventative maintenance calls as regularly as the management team sees fit. Fill out reports provided for maintenance. Work alongside the tour's production electrician to ensure all is running smoothly. Re-focus lighting & video fixtures when needed. Ensure that security, safety and good housekeeping procedures for the department are properly carried out. Keep all lighting & video workstations and areas clean and tidy and in good working order. Take on rigorous pre show rig checks, and ensure all fixtures are in good working order and are focussed correctly. Ensure haze fluid is always at the correct level and kept topped up. Ensure all lighting & video equipment is in good working order at all times. Take on any other duties reasonably asked of a Assistant Head of LX & Video. Take responsibility for training and supervising the technical swing. Comply with the Manager's Health and Safety and other policies at all times.

Job Requirements

Contract Length: June 2026 - July 2027 All candidates must be willing to tour and be available for the full contract.
