Synopsis:
A character-driven coming-of-age story in which a group of boys discovers that evil is not always what it appears to be. A modern tale exploring good, evil, friendship, and the dangers of theocratic dogma.

AUDITION INFORMATION

Submission Requirements:
• Headshot
• Resume
• Contemporary monologue self tape (1–2 minutes)

To be considered for the lead role of Gabriel, actors must submit a contemporary monologue and a heightened-language monologue self tape (both 1–2 minutes).

Submission Deadline:
August 9, 2026

Selected auditionees will be contacted with Zoom callback information.

Audition Schedule:
• August 10 – Callback invitations sent
• August 15 – Chemistry reads for Gabriel and Frankie
• August 18–19 – Callbacks
• August 20 – Cast notification

Rehearsals:
• August 23 – First rehearsal
• August 30 – Second rehearsal
• September 5 or 6 – Rehearsal/Tech in performance space

September 12–13, 2026

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

GEORGE
Male, 30–50. Educated professional. Parent of Gabriel. Ethnically ambiguous/multiracial, Latino/Hispanic, or White/European descent.

GRACE
Female, 35–45. Type-A personality, highly driven. Parent of Gabriel. Ethnically ambiguous/multiracial, Latino/Hispanic, or White/European descent.

GABRIEL
Male, 16–20 (must convincingly play under 17). Ethnically ambiguous/multiracial, Latino/Hispanic, or White/European descent. Intelligent, reserved, natural leader, keeps mostly to himself.

FRANKIE
Male, 16–18 (must convincingly play under 16). Introverted, studious, kind, gentle, carrying troubling secrets.

TOMMY
Male, 16–20 (must convincingly play 14–16). White/European descent or ethnically ambiguous/multiracial. Athletic, outgoing, confident, and self-assured.

MICHAEL
Male, 16–18 (must convincingly play 15–16). All ethnicities. An all-American boy.

HAROLD
Male, 16–18 (must convincingly play 14–15). A devout Catholic altar boy.
