About this show

This Christmas, return to the world of Pride and Prejudice... but from an entirely different perspective. At Pemberley, the Bennet family reunites for the festive season. While Elizabeth and Jane seem to have found the lives they were always destined for, Mary Bennet remains trapped by the role everyone has written for her: the awkward sister, the afterthought, the woman no one expects to surprise them. That is until Lord Arthur de Bourgh arrives for the festivities, offering Mary the possibility of a wholly different future. Smart, funny and emotionally incisive, Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley gives Jane Austen‘s most overlooked heroine the story she was never allowed to have. Exploring identity, belonging and the quiet courage it takes to rewrite your own narrative, this UK premiere of Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon‘s smash hit play is both a loving continuation of Austen’s world and a fresh, contemporary drama of its own. Whether you’re returning to Austen or meeting the Bennets for the first time, this is a witty, surprising and deeply human play about family loyalties, old assumptions and the possibility of becoming exactly who you were never expected to be. Park Theatre and Adam Blanshay Productions present the UK Premiere of Miss Bennet.

About Park Theatre

The Park Theatre is one of London’s most dynamic Off-West End venues, known for bold programming, fresh writing, and a strong community spirit. Since opening in 2013, it has become a vital creative hub in Finsbury Park, presenting a mix of new plays, revivals, and international work across its two intimate spaces.

With a strong focus on accessibility, affordability, and artistic excellence, Park Theatre champions emerging talent and underrepresented voices — earning a reputation as one of London’s most important smaller theatres.

The history of the Park Theatre

Opened in 2013, Park Theatre was founded by artistic director Jez Bond and actor Andy Nyman. Built from a converted office block just moments from Finsbury Park Station, the venue was developed with a clear mission: to bring high-quality theatre to the local community while supporting new voices in the industry.

With support from high-profile patrons including Ian McKellen and Alan Rickman, Park Theatre quickly rose to prominence. It now houses two performance spaces — Park200, a 200-seat main theatre, and Park90, a flexible studio space — and has premiered numerous acclaimed productions, many of which have transferred to the West End and beyond.
