Closes 1 September 2026
Reed’s School is a fantastic place to work. Teachers and pupils alike flourish in its friendly, supportive, forward-thinking community. It is a leading HMC independent day and boarding school, currently providing an education for around 850 pupils between the ages of 11 and 18 years, with girls joining in the Sixth Form. From September 2027 they will move to becoming fully co-educational by accepting girls in Year 7.
We are excited to be recruiting for a Sound and Stage Technician. The role-holder will support the technical, academic and co-curricular life of the Music and Drama Departments and wider School, contributing significantly to school events, music technology provision, drama productions and the delivery of the curriculum.
The role will be term time with some additional weeks before the start and at the end of each term (to be agreed).
The closing date for applications will be midday on Tuesday 01st of September 2026.
For Safer Recruitment purposes all applicants must complete a Reed’s School application form. Full details including a job description and application form can be found on our website or alternatively by emailing hr@reeds.surrey.sch.uk.
All interested applicants should apply by using the links on the school website.
Interested applicants are encouraged to submit a completed application as soon as possible. The School reserves the right to interview and appoint before the closing date, should a suitable candidate present themselves.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The School may carry out online searches on shortlisted applicants, and all applicants will be required to provide details of their online profile, including social media account names/handles, as part of their application.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions on a self-declaration form in advance of attending an interview (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
