Seeking Sound Designers/A1 for Upcoming Season

Vanguard Theater Company is currently accepting submissions from Sound Designer/A1’s for various upcoming season productions.

Please note that we are looking for someone to be a Sound Designer AND A1 for each production.

Annie (Mainstage)

Tech: November 27th - December 2nd, 2026

Performances: December 3rd-December 20th, 2026

Compensation: $3,000

Les Misérables School Edition (Educational)

Tech: January 2nd-7th, 2027

Performances: January 8th-17th, 2027

Compensation: $1,750

Frozen Jr. (Educational)

This production is offsite and will require a load in and strike.

Load in: January 21-22nd, 2027

Tech: January 23rd-28th, 2027

Performances: January 29th-31st, 2027

Strike after closing on January 31st, 2027

Compensation: $1,750

All rehearsals and performances are held at Vanguard Theater, conveniently located just a 30-minute train ride from NYC to Bay Street station in Montclair, NJ. From there, it's just a two-minute walk to the theater.
