About the Opportunities
Working closely with the Head of Production, Directors, Designers, Stage Management and Production teams, you will play a key role in ensuring scenic designs are realised safely, efficiently and to the highest artistic and technical standards.
Successful candidates will contribute to the planning, construction and delivery of scenic elements for productions, supporting workshop operations and collaborating with creative teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
Depending on experience, responsibilities may include workshop and team management, project scheduling, budgeting, stock control, workforce planning, and supporting the day-to-day delivery of scenic construction projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong carpentry and scenic construction skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction plans.
- Experience working in a workshop and production environment.
- Good IT skills, with AutoCAD and/or Vectorworks experience desirable.
- Knowledge of stage rigging, flying systems and counterweight systems.
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- A flexible and collaborative approach to working within a production team.
Experience in workshop management, staff supervision, project scheduling, budget management, equipment maintenance, welding and advanced rigging would be advantageous.
