A1 Sound Engineers for the Theater Center

The Theater Center is hiring A1 Sound Engineers to cover for the shows and special events at the Theater Center. Pay is $100/perf and $50/hour for corporate and special events. Must be free on a regular basis Tuesdays and Fridays 7:30 - 10:30 (1 perf) and Saturdays 5:30 -10:30 (2 perfs) with lots of corporate event work available as well.

All shows use the Yamaha QL1 sound board and Sennheiser EW 300 wireless microphones.

Responsibilities:

Mix up to 9 wireless lavalier microphones and backing tracks for productions playing at the Theater Center.

Perform pre-show microphone checks and make sure all audio equipment is functioning properly.

Prepare lavalier headsets for actors to wear on stage.

Monitor RF to maintain clean signal throughout run of show.

Assist with audio turnover in between shows.

Adjust Qlab files when needed.

Assist in audio needs for all productions at the Theater Center.

Assist with audio for corporate gigs that rent out theater space.

Work closely with the Production Stage Manager and Producer to ensure a successful performance.

Requirements:

Understanding of Yamaha QL1 or similar digital sound boards.

Understanding of Sennheiser wireless lavalier microphones, as well as how to adjust frequencies of mics during performances.

Understanding of Qlab and Dante.

Excellent communication skills.

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to build small PA's for corporate gigs.

2+ years working in Theatrical Audio.

Bachelor's Degree in Sound Design or similar program preferred.
