SYNOPSIS: A hot witchy summer brews in Astoria Queens but Themi Tsamos, a gay Greek virgin, is stuck working for his Thea at her run-down cat shop. After a psychic reading goes awry, Themi discovers his romantic misfortune stems from a curse, placed by his Thea, repelling all men from being attracted to him. When Themi sets on a quest to undo the spell, he is swept into a spiritual whirlwind filled with Greek gods, a secret night club, and a production of a Midsummer Night’s Dream hanging by a thread.

*Adapted from an award-winning feature screenplay which was recognized as a Final Draft Screenwriting Semi Finalist (top 20 out of over 12,000), Scriptation Showcase Semi Finalist, and International Screenwriting Association Quarter Finalist.

SEEKING:

THEA ANTONIA (50s/60s)

Conniving and twitching with secrets. Themi’s helicopter aunt, who moved to Astoria from the Greek islands to open her cat shop, Aegean Gata. A not-so-subtle puppet master. (Greek accent)

YIORGOS (20s-30s)

An ex-Himbo and quintessential macho Greek man. Themi’s older cousin and fellow employee at Aegean Gata. A reformed playboy who’s been whipped into shape by his fiancé, Konstantina. (Greek or Queens/New York accent)

DESPINA (20s)

A strangely perceptive, slightly ominous manic pixie barista. Greek-American. Psychic with deep rooted channeling powers.

ANTONIO (20s)

A haughty, charming, yet detached male manipulator. The unreciprocating love interest of Themi. Jaded from the dating scene but enjoys the attention, nevertheless.

SOL (20s)

Zesty straight man. Painfully earnest and completely smitten with Themi’s best friend, Nisha. Devoted costume designer for a production of a Midsummer Night’s Dream.

KONSTANTINA (20s-30s)

A tough Greek girl from Queens. In full on Bridezilla mode. The high-maintenance fiancé of Yiorgos. (Queens/New York accent)
