Breakdown
BUSY BEES
Author’s Note: The Busy Bees’ Great Adventure is a hip hop musical that requires actors to sing, act and dance (Hip Hop and Jazz). The characters are fun, bright, smart, and loud.
SEEKING:
Busy Bee: The bold leader of the Busy Bees, Busy makes sure the rehearsal is up and contracts are flowing. She’s nice but all boss-bee.
Bumble Bee: Bumble is the coolest tech wiz. The brains of the group, she’s the voice of reason, always looking for solution rather than the problem.
Grumble Bee: Grumble is a woeful bee; sometimes considered the buzz-kill; Grumble lets the world problems and issues really affect her mood.
Wanna-Bee: Wanna-Bee is the epitome of Laissez-Faire. If there’s a problem, Wanna – Bee doesn’t notice. She’s diplomatic, goes with trends and is inspired by anything that makes her little wings happy.
Señor Sea Turtle: A spritely viejito at 80 years, Mr. Sea Turtle has been trying to get free but there is just too much plastic and pollution on his side of the ponds these days. Doubles as a Galactic Twin, and this role may be featured on video only.
Sir Lancelot Jones: 7-year old Sir Lancelot Jones is a Southern young boy with a vivid imagination of knights, and castles. He’s a great farmer and part of the family who will eventually save Biscayne national park. Doubles as Galactic Twin, and this role may be featured on video only.
Galactic Twins [b-boys or b-girls]: 200 years in the future, the Galactics love their world, love to dance and love history. They are skater & sneaker heads who learned to recycle all the of past’s pollution oh-so-fashionably. They are just excited about being alive, and as long as they have hydro pops and food pellets, there’s no worries! They live in harmony and fine tune for balance.
